World Wide Technology (WWT), one of the largest privately held technology innovation companies in the world has been appointed as the accelerator of a partnership between UK-based World Wide Generation (WWG) and global telecommunications and digital services company Etisalat (e&). WWG and e& signed an MOU at COP28 to launch the world’s largest and truly global sustainability data, finance and solutions exchange to accelerate the financing and delivery of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) powered by WWG’s G17Eco platform. WWT is the cornerstone system integrator for the world-wide rollout due to its focus on developing collaborative partnerships with clients that deliver a holistic view of a project’s scope, and a clear and concise path to positive, sustainable outcomes.
WWG spent six years designing and building the G17Eco platform, which can collect data from any size organisation with immutable and traceable provenance and evidence. It then processes the company’s social, economic and environmental impact in real-time, and enables them to share it with internal and external stakeholders such as banks, investors, stock exchanges and regulators, all from one interoperable platform. G17Eco uses a breakthrough data bot, blockchain and AI technologies to collect, process, disseminate and aggregate data to ultimately track and measure progress to closing every SDG deficit per nation, per goal.
The platform extends to supporting organisations and nations willing to share and prove their sustainability credentials, providing access to a rewards marketplace, cheaper cost of capital and insurance premiums, and visibility to international liquidity, partners and clients.
As the accelerator of choice for the partnership between WWG and e&, WWT will leverage its world-renowned Advanced Technology Centre (ATC); a collection of physical labs, which are virtualised to create a collaborative innovation ecosystem to design, build, educate and deploy innovative technology solutions. The ATCs enable WWT’s clients and partners to make smart technology decisions faster and mitigate the risks of solving complex business challenges with even more complex technology solutions.
“The partnership between WWG and e& is an exciting one that will create significant benefits for individuals and organisations across the world. Both companies envision a better future for all, so the partnership is a perfect match that will result in fantastic results. Following our expansion into the UAE in October 2023, World Wide Technology is proud to have been chosen as the accelerator of this partnership. By leveraging our Advanced Technology Centre we will bring together WWG’s solutions and e&’s product portfolio to deliver vital intelligence and potent results for both companies and their customers,” said Omar Mir, President at World Wide Technology.
Earlier in the year, as part of its plans to accelerate global growth, WWT expanded into the Middle East market through its base in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE. As part of its expansion, WWT is committed to investing in the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cyber Security Academies, whilst also focusing on accelerating the deployment of cutting-edge technologies across the region.
WWT is committed to sustainability and preventing climate change, using its time at COP28 to highlight its AI for Good programme. The initiative will accelerate the outcomes of innovations, scientific discoveries and clinical trials which will be crucial in helping address the impending climate crisis.
WWT awarded WWG as its ‘Most Breakthrough Sustainability Platform Partner 2023’ during the climate change conference, under its AI for Good programme. The award aims to highlight the impact of the partnership and the expected sustainable outcomes it will deliver.
