Singapore, 12 September 2022 — Sustainability assurance fintech company, World Wide Generation (WWG) today welcomed the launch of ESGenome, an ESG disclosure platform developed in partnership with Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) and The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), to support Singapore-listed companies and organisations map, monitor, measure, manage and market their sustainability efforts in a streamlined and standardised way and seamlessly accommodate the increasing introduction of sustainability-related regulatory and compliance requirements demanded by stakeholders.
Companies’ data can be automatically mapped across selected standards and frameworks to cater to different investor requirements and a sustainability report can be automatically generated at any time. Data submitted by SGX-listed companies on the platform remains private, unless it is permissioned to be shared with various stakeholders such as investors, regulators, auditors, assurers and rating agencies. Company data is housed in Singapore on the Google Cloud, with all the security associated with that cloud infrastructure. SGX ESGenome is free to use for SGX-listed companies.
“With corporate sustainability disclosures representing one of the largest sources of ESG data globally, there is tremendous scope to harness technology to enhance disclosures and the comparability of data to support the financing decisions needed for a credible transition to a lower carbon and more sustainable ways of growing businesses,” says WWG Founder and CEO, Manjula Lee.
“Currently the proliferation of multiple sustainability reporting frameworks and guidelines across jurisdictions, and the inconsistent manner in which data is being collected, verified and reported have created significant disclosure challenges and resulted in poor ESG data comparability,” Our G17Eco platform directly addresses this dilemma and empower business at scale,” she added.
